Project Overview
For TEDx Göteborg, I was responsible for the graphic design and visual identity of the event “The Melody of Life.”
The goal was to create a visual language that reflected the emotional depth of the theme while remaining aligned with the structured and recognizable TEDx brand.
Logotype Design
The project began with designing a custom logotype tailored specifically for the event theme.
The intention was to visually interpret rhythm, movement, and the sense of freedom found in music. Typography was treated as a dynamic element — subtly echoing the flow of musical notes while maintaining clarity and structural balance within the TEDx identity system.
The result was a logotype that felt expressive yet controlled, creative yet consistent.
Posters
Following the logotype, I developed two different poster directions:
• One conceptual approach
• One combining musical elements with symbols of everyday life
Print and Digital Design
After establishing the core visual direction, I expanded the identity into a cohesive event system including:
- Social media content
- Printed materials for attendees and staff
- Supporting event collateral
- Presentation templates for on-stage screens
Each element was designed to maintain consistency while adapting to different formats and communication needs.
Visual Identity Design
After briefing sessions with the marketing team, I developed a visual direction inspired by distinctive elements of the city of Gothenburg. The concept combined minimalism with a subtle integration of the “X” from TEDx and symbolic references to the city — creating a clean yet locally rooted identity.
